The 8-year-old Pekingese, competing for the fourth time, finally won the contest after finishing second in his previous three attempts.

Rome, a 14-year-old pug, was the runner-up and also won the People's Choice award.

"Rome is an amazing pet. He is very personable and pretty much everybody's favorite," said Rome's owner, Michelle Grady.

This year's contest featured eight competitors. The winner receives a trophy and $5,000.
